Acting Premier Steven Miles has announced that Queensland will relax COVID restrictions except for face masks.
From 6am AEST Friday 23 July until 6am AEST Friday 30 July:
- Face mask restrictions for will continue to apply for South East Queensland. This includes anyone who has been to the impacted areas in South East Queensland in the last 14 days – local government areas of Brisbane, Moreton Bay, Ipswich, Logan City, Redlands, Sunshine Coast, Noosa, Somerset, Lockyer Valley, Scenic Rim and Gold Coast.
- All other restrictions for South East Queensland will be eased to be the same as for the rest of Queensland.
Hospitality venues will be allowed to have one patron per 2 square metres and restrictions will be lifted for visitors to hospitals and aged care.
