Annual Operating Plan
Annual Operating Plan 2021-2022
Many of the challenges the industry faced in 2020 continued into 2021, with increased market access issues; shipping constraints; and ongoing COVID-19 restrictions. The coronavirus pandemic has continued to impact the meat supply chain, particularly in metropolitan Melbourne with an 80 percent workforce capacity limit currently in place. Regrettably, this has also forced the postponement of a number of retail competitions and cancellation of industry dinner events in Victoria and New South Wales.
We continue to strengthen our relationships with major industry and government stakeholders for the benefit of our entire membership, and this year welcomed new and continuing partners, who provide additional member only benefits.
We look forward to a more positive setting for our industry as the various state roadmaps and our obligations are made clear, and AMIC remains at the forefront working with government and relevant departments.
AMIC is the voice of the Australian meat industry and our focus is to ensure our sector is recognised for the crucial role it plays in the agribusiness supply chain and for the prosperity of Australia’s economy.
