For more than 20 years AMIC’s strong commitment to Australia’s meat industry has been best exemplified through our regional, state and national competitions. The AMIC National Competition weekend showcased Australia’s best artisan butchers and up and coming apprentices, each vying for the title to become the best of the best in their chosen field of butchery. And we were not disappointed!

We witnessed the passion, drive and competitive spirit of each entrant as they went for broke for the title of the best producer of Australia’s most loved food, the Aussie snag and burger and the best apprentice. Congratulations to all the competitors and the winners of each competition. Thank you for taking us on your journey from regionals to the Nationals, where countless hours have been consumed to perfect your craft  to be crowned the best sausage and/or burger producer and apprentice in Australia.

Our passion for our industry, and our desire to secure its future through encouraging excellence in young and seasoned professionals, is what drives us at AMIC.  We will continue to be committed to supporting Sausage King and Apprentice competitions and make Australia be recognised on the international stage as having the best butchers in the world!
