The Queensland Government have announced that from Friday 17 December, the date when 80% Queenslanders are expected to be double vaccinated, further restrictions will be eased for businesses and for entry into Queensland.
There will be restrictions in place for people who are not fully vaccinated.

Both vaccinated and unvaccinated will be able to continue to access essential retail (including butchers), therefore customers do not need to show vaccination status.
Proof of their COVID-19 vaccination status is required for businesses that are restricted to fully vaccinated customers and visitors, such as bars, cafes, and restaurants.
Masks will no longer be mandatory, as per stage 3 of the roadmap, from 17 December.
From 17 December, unvaccinated people can access essential retail, other retail, public transport, places of worship and funerals, but will be unable to:
- Visit vulnerable settings, including residential aged care, hospitals, prisons, and disability care accommodation
- Attend hospitality venues such as hotels, pubs, clubs, taverns, bars, restaurants or cafes
- Attend indoor entertainment venues such as nightclubs, live music venues, karaoke bars, concerts, theatres or cinemas
- Attend outdoor entertainment activities such as sporting stadiums, theme parks or tourism experiences.
From 17 December, fully vaccinated Queenslanders can:
- Visit vulnerable settings, including residential aged care, hospitals, prisons, and disability care accommodation
- Attend hospitality venues such as hotels, pubs, clubs, restaurants or cafes with no density limits
- Attend indoor entertainment venues such as nightclubs, indoor live music venues, theatres, or cinemas with no density limits.
