The Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) is thrilled to celebrate the exceptional performance of its members at the Wagyu Branded Beef Competition (WBBC). This event, hosted by the Australian Wagyu Association, provided a stage for Australian Wagyu brands to be recognised both nationally and internationally.
This year, several AMIC members were distinguished, winning the bulk of awards across various classes, reflecting their commitment to producing top quality Australian Wagyu Beef and demonstrating their high standards and dedication to brand.. AMIC Members included Andrews Meat Industries, Mort & Co, Stockyard Beef, Stanbroke, Kilcoy Global Foods, Paradigm Foods, Harmony Agriculture & Food Co, Australian Agricultural Company, Jack’s Creek (Warmoll Foods) and Pardoo Wagyu all received accolades ranging from Class Champion to Silver medals. In addition to this, our members, Mybutcher in SA, Osawa Enterprises in NSW and Holco in QLD proudly supply Class Champion Fullblood Japanese Black Steak class from Mayura Station Wagyu to consumers in Australia.
AMIC CEO Patrick Hutchinson believes that AMIC’s efforts in technical and market access help ensure these awarded products are highly regarded and sought after on the global stage.
“AMIC’s role is to always ensure that our members’ products get on consumers’ plates both domestically and internationally. We do this as the only lead agency within the Australian beef industry dedicated to international economic and technical market access, including logistics issues, as well as working with domestic food regulators, keeping Australian Wagyu moving through the supply chain.
“The value of belonging to a body like AMIC is it is continually working to manage regulations, advocate on supply chain issues, lead the removal of trade barriers and open up international markets, all of which support these award-winning products. This support not only elevates our members’ brands, but also assists the Australian Wagyu industry as a whole.
“AMIC congratulates the winners of the WBBC awards and we are proud to be leading the way in ensuring that these brands are able to be sold around the world.” said Mr Hutchinson.
AMIC continues to support and champion the Australian Wagyu industry, ensuring that the exceptional quality and standards of Australian beef are recognised both domestically and internationally.
