Australian Charcuterie Excellence Awards
2024 Australian Charcuterie Excellence Awards
Australia’s premier smallgoods awards!
The stellar quality of Australian smallgoods was on show in Sydney on Thursday August 29 at the 2024 Australian Charcuterie Excellence Awards (ACEA), with producers nationwide celebrated for their exceptional craftsmanship and innovative, world-class products.
Hosted by the Australian Meat Industry Council (AMIC) in partnership with Australian Pork Limited and MLA, the Australian Charcuterie Excellence Awards are now into their third year, having launched in 2022.
The 2024 ACEA program saw an impressive 835 entries across ten distinguished classes and 35 categories, showcasing the industry’s unwavering commitment to excellence.
Through meticulous points-based judging criteria, we awarded 202 Gold, 454 Silver, and 87 Bronze medals. Reflecting the competitive nature of the awards, AMIC crowned 32 Category Champions, reaffirming the rigorous pursuit of distinction.
In several categories, the standards were exceptionally high, for 13 categories, it required a Borda Count method to detemine the category champion, a sophisticated ranked voting system ensuring that the ultimate victors were determined fairly.
Congratulations to all who entered and to those who won an award in the 2024 ACEA competition. Your remarkable achievements are a testament to the dedication and masterful craftsmanship within our industry.
We also extend our gratitude to our major awards dinner sponsor, MINTRAC, our logistics partner, Cold Xpress, and all the companies who sponsored an award class.
